The Mission of Motherly Care Family Services to provide innovative solutions to the community and training disadvantaged individuals who are in the mainstream of the social system. This has been our goal for the last 28 years. Its purpose is to empower women, strength families and to help decrease the decline of the family structure today.  Founded in 1990 by Joyce  S. Pearson, its General Manage, is committed to providing training and assistance for low income individuals who lack adequate skills to achieve economic independence. Pounds of care is the non-profit segment of our organization. MOCA provides a comprehensive program that promotes self-sufficiency through training, work experience, supportive services, and job placement in unsubsidized employment, school care programs, parenting skills , and transportation.

 

MOCA Home Health & Companion Care

 

MOCA Family Services Home Assistance Program has a high standard. Our belief is that caregivers, with strength and skills to lend the infirm and elderly, have a valuable service to perform. Our services offer around clock care or for a few hours per day. Comprehensive In-Home Assessment, dedicated personal aides, caring live-companions, homemaking services from cooking to light, housekeeping, shopping, groceries, incidental transportation, meal prep, errands and much more

Evidence of Program Success!

The job readiness & computer skills training has achieved remarkable success in helping individuals obtain job skills, take control of family and life challenges. Each year over 100 individuals find employment!!We monitor our progress and measure our success by evaluating the impact of our training program. We track student's demographic information and barriers faced by our students; number of students who enter and complete our training program; number who obtain and retain employment for 3 months/6 months/12 months and the number of individuals that advance their months(e.g. promotion and/or wage increase) within 12 months.
